that /bin/ls is gnu ls.  freebsd is not using GPL'ed utilities as much
as possible.  there is also the fact that some of us really do not like
color ls's.  You have _two_ ports that do this.  You should be happy
with that :)

  How about there is plenty of information in an ls -F that more just
really obscures it for me.  Hell, I use syntax highlighting in emacs,
but it drives me mad with gnu ls.

  Be more polite or go away.  I suspect he has.  I know that I have.  It
drives me up the wall.
