That is a common misconception among xxxxBSD users. Only
a few xxxBSD users know what ELF really is and what it can do.
Unfortunately, there are only a few.

You have to write programs to take advantage of ELF to
fully appreciate it. Maybe xxxxBSD just doesn't care.

FYI, ELF is not only used by SVR4/Linux, but also used by
many other systems, including one DOS extension.

I guess you have to be a tool hacker to know ELF.
