I have recently installed FreeBSD 2.1.0 on my pentium box which has a
DigiBoard PC/8e on board. I have compiled my kernel using various
address space for the DigiBoard ranging from 0xa0000 to 0xfc0000, but
always get a "bios download failed" message on boot.
The man page for dgb mentions that machines with more than 15 megs of
ram should either disable the uppermost 1 megabyte (my BIOS does not
support this) or reduce the amount of ram in the machine (also not a
viable option from my standpoint).
Has anyone else had this problem, and (more importantly) has anyone
found a solution?
