I am running NetBSD 1.1 release, trying to have my PC dial in and run
pppd. Whenever pppd is started from the dialed in shell, the modems
hang up.

When using the modem for tty emulation, all is well - a disconnected
modem drops the shell, and a logout command hangs up the modem.

It looks like I either have the port misconfigured, or else the modem
misconfiured to respond to more than necessary, or pppd misconfigured?

Does anyone have a checklist for doing pppd into NetBSD?
