Joerg,

First a disclaimer: It's Late, I'm Tired, and the Docs are
at the far end of the house.

That said:

As I recall, FreeBSD-2.1R has items in the LINT file that
talk about a Future Domain 950 chipset. This chipset is
used in the TMS-850 host adaptors and I've been hoping
to build a second FreeBSD system using those to work
with NFS and other such things.

Are we to underatand that Only those FD Host Adaptors that
are WD "compatable" will work?

I _gather_ that the 850's are not in that FD supplied
driver disks to build new N1 disks for SCO Xenix 2.2.3
and 2.3.2. At least the later (2.3.2) claimed that it
had support for the WD hosts in it's install docs.
