Subject: Accounting and /sys/kern/kern_acct.c?

Pardon my ignorance, but is /sys/kern/kern_acct.c missing code that
would otherwise be there to support process accounting? I use the
accounting file on other BSD-based systems to monitor machine use, so
I had hoped 386bsd would have this feature operational. Is there a
reason for its exclusion? Would it be reasonable to re-write the
missing code (and sa(8))?

Thanks for any responses that can enlighten me.
