It was the CDROM.  It was the CDROM.  It was the CDROM.
Simply does not work properly.  I don't know why.  I understand the
earlier comment about Rock Ridge format being compatible.  I don't
know if my unit is defective, or has some basic incompatability.  But
I have installed very easily using a different CDROM.
