Over the last few days my FreeBSD machine has been sending system
messages all the time to my X window console. Everytime somebody does
something, like check mail, messages like:

.....service request from...
.....Ending request from....
...disconnect broken pipe...
....unable to get canonical name of client...

and so on appear.

Mail and news and everything seems to be working ok.

My questions!

(1) What are these messages and why am I suddenly seeing them for the
first time? I have been running this FreeBSD box for about 8 months now.

(2) Are any of those "error sounding" messages cause for concern?
