What kind of server??  I was using a Windows For Workgroups Server, and needed to 
add a couple of switches to the mount command.  It does not support read or write 
sizes greater than 1024.  try -r 1024 -w 1024 ip.add.re.ss:/cd-rom  as you nfs 
address instead of just an Ip address and the path.  (change i[p.add.re.ss:/cd-rom 
to what ever your servers ipaddress is and the correct path name to the cd-rom.)
