IO=300, IRQ=10, MADDR=d000

Would work.  Boot with -c (assuming you're using a GENERIC kernel) and
set the parameters for ed1 to match the above, assuming that you've
first done the same for the hardware with the EZSETUP utility.

Then edit /etc/sysconfig and set gateway to YES.
