When I fire up X I get the following displayed on the console:

init FATAL error: vga: Interrupted system call

This message appears anywhere in the first minute after startup
and then repeats itself ad infinitum. Once it does appear my
xterm stops functioning - although I can log in from over the net
and all appears to be well with the rest of the system. I'm running
version 1.1 of XFree including the kernel supplied with it.

Can anyone tell me what's going on here?

Thanks, Eamonn.
