Dan, 

After changing ALL of the passwords in your UUCP scripts
to something else ("----" would be fine) post them here
for folks that are Expert to look at or send them in 
mail to me (arog@BIX.com). 

UUCP can and is a "black.art" that is obfuscated by
manuals writen by folks that have never tried to 
follow the directions that they wrote. 

... and now that I've suppressed the URGE to tell about
    my LearningExperience with SCO Xenic.....

It is most likely something simple that the manual just
plain failed to make clear as in... like I said, they
never tried to use the manual to do it. 

"Taylor" should work as well as any UUCP. That is not
saying much, but I doubt that the problem is the Taylor.
