Hello all,

we are using FreeBSD 2.0.5 PC as a PPP server, to let
employees work from home at our network. So we have the
following configuration:

192.168.13.x    192.168.12.109
home            PPP server FreeBSD
-x------------------x---------------|
                                    |
                                    x    foo1  192.168.12.10  DEC Unix 3.2b
		 	            |
				    |
                                    x    foo2  192.168.12.23  DEC Unix 3.0b
				    |
				    |
                                    x    foo3  192.168.12.25  FreeBSD 2.0.5

the PPP server use "routed -q" (I also tried "-s" for gateway). I added
at foo1, foo2 and foor3 "route add -net 192.168.13.0 192.168.12.109" I also
used "routed -q" there. If I have the ppp link I can ping from anywhere I
want.
      foo1 <--> home        ca 300ms
      foo2 <--> home        ca 300ms
      foo3 <--> home        ca 300ms
foo[1,2,3] <--> foo[1,2,3]  ca 0ms

But if I try telnet or ftp I only get a normal (fast) connection to foo3 -
the FreeBSD computer. A connection to foo1,2 is kinda slooow, about 10
times of the FreeBD connection. Whats wrong? Ping with the same time
and telnet slow?? :(

Anybody an idea? Btw. I have to solve the problem, own of the home
PC's is my boss :-o ...

Best regards
Dirk
