[0]The DOS driver works fine at port 0x340. Are there any flags for the -c

Please verify that the drive model is a CR-562 or a CR-563. This should be
written on a label on the top of the drive. These double-speed drives
are the *only* drives that the matcd driver controls. They should be
connected to a connector on a plug-in card that is labeled
"Creative/Panasonic".

If you have a single-speed, 4X or 6X speed drive, the matcd driver isn't
the one to use.

If the drive connects to the main logic board or to a connector labeled
"IDE", then you need to be using the IDE CD-ROM driver (wcd), even if you
have a drive made by Panasonic. Panasonic does make IDE drives in
addition to SCSI and proprietary-interface models.

If you do have a CR-562 or a CR-563 and it is connected up OK and
DOS says the hardware is there, be sure you tell matcd to look there
by booting the system with the "-c" parameter, and then type at the prompt:
	config> port matcdc 0x340
	config> q

and see if that helps. If you have a Sound Card / CD-ROM combo card,
try entering an address 0x10 higher, or in your case 0x350. On
Geniune SoundBlaster cards, the CD-ROM interface part of the card is always
0x10 higher than the audio part of the card.

Final trick: if you have a CR-562 or a CR-563, make sure the drive is
strapped to be drive 0. The straps are on the back of the drive. Some
people are reporting that drives are being shipped with *no* jumpers
installed at all and DOS accepts this. Matcd requires one drive to be
strapped as drive 0.
