Well, I mean to have it boot *without* having to recompile the kernel.
If you have to patch the kernel, or boot -c and key things in, then I
don't think it can be called "Plug 'n Play"... Also, FreeBSD isn't the
only OS which has this trouble with the so-called PNP cards.
