Do you have a line /etc/sysconfig to configure 'tun0'?

If so, delete it.  It's not needed.

It would look something like this
#
network_interfaces="tun0 lo0"
ifconfig_tun0="inet 1.2.3.4 5.6.7.8 netmask 0xffffffffff"
ifconfig_lo0="inet localhost"

Either that or you have a default route that is setup and is in-correct.
