I missed the base note for this thread, but as far as the AIC driver
performance on BSDI goes, I installed 2.1 on a 2742 yesterday after
someone broke into our office and stole our news server this weekend,
and so far the AIC driver seems rock solid. There's only 2 drives on the
new box so far, a new 4gig Quantum Atlas and an ancient Maxtor 1 gig,
but both are being beaten on pretty hard at the moment with no problems
from the driver.
