I'm having trouble trying to get a single ppp dialin working...

I've got the modem attached, answering, and even giving the proper
login sequence...

I have the shell set to ppp (with no arguments)

When I log in either manually, or using a ppp client dialer, as soon
as it enters the username/password pair, it shows the BSDI copyright
text, and then immediately hangs up <shrug>

I've read the man pages over and over, but it just isn't clicking...

Any ideas?

Thanks!
  Eric
