I've put it on one machine, but I did a clean install on it.
Everything went smoothly. I like the new kernel features. The one I
need right now is the fix to the deadlock problem with mapped files.

I've been making notes of what I had to fix up to meet my site
requirements. The only major complaint I have is that the system
shared library for jpeg is the old version 5a rather than the new
version 6 library. This means I have to go back now and recompile and
link ImageMagick and xv to use the new jpeg library (in addition to
building the new jpeg library and making it a shared lib...)

Emacs is old, too: 19.28 vs. 19.30 which is the latest release.

Other than that, it is just a few patches that need to be applied for
glimpse and HylaFAX. The distributed glimpseindex program will
generate *HUGE* .glimpse_turbo files. The distributed HylaFAX will
sometimes send duplicate text messages to a text pager.

Perl5 is great now that it has the DynaLoader feature enabled -- I
just plopped in my new extensions and they work. No need to rebuild a
static perl with the extensions in it.

Oh yeah... /usr/contrib/bin/zipinfo should be hard linked to
/usr/contrib/bin/unzip, but it is not. I reported this one back when
2.0 first shipped, but I guess nobody cared enough about it.

I have just about all of my environment recreated on the 2.1 system.
I decided to take this opportunity to upgrade all packages and just
recompile everything that's been lying around since the 1.1 release.
I plan on moving my mail/DNS/ftp host to 2.1 this weekend.
