There is now X support for the OmniMedia Talisman MPEG I hardware decoder
card.

The driver code for FreeBSD 2.2-current is beta,
and much of the support code is alpha.

The Talisman Decoder decodes in hardware MPEG I System Streams.

It also has a VGA Window capability and can display scaled video
in a window on your VGA display, or unscaled via a NTSC video monitor.

The code and sample X window application are far enough along that people
could consider using the software to build into their applications.

The VGA window feature will only work with VGA clocks 90MHz or less and
your VGA card must have a working feature connector.

To get started you need

ftp://omt.com/pub/omt/tm0.04d.tar.gz
ftp://omt.com/pub/omt/tm-easy-utils-v1.05.tgz

If you want to play VideoCDs or CDI CDs you will need a Plextor 4plex
CDROM drive.

Library and source to the sample X application are in:

ftp://omt.com/pub/omt/tm-easy-lib-v1.05.tgz
