We have a SB16 SCSI which has the AHA 1510 on board, intended for a
CDROM. Given that the 1510 is not a bus mastering SCSI controller, why and
under what circumstances would the performance and CPU load be better using a
SCSI CDROM drive with the SB16 over a (cheaper) IDE CDROM.
Is using the AHA1510 still better if it can do DMA ? I saw it
mentioned somewhere that in an EISA PC the 1510 can do DMA. Is this true and
would thus be better than an IDE CDROM ?
	Please email. Thanks.
