Ok.  I'\m having MAJOR installation problems...

Here's the system that I'm trying to install bsd on:

486/50 EISA
16 MB ram
200 MB Maxtor IDE HD
Trident svga w/1meg
SMC Elite 16

these are the problems:
while GETing a file via ftp- "netin: bad address"
while using cpio to put the bindist where it's supposed to go 
    "cpio: <something>: bad address"
other similar errors... sometimes they result in a trap.. BLECH!
So... anyone got any ideas?
