I have the same problem, but I also cannot get X11 installed either. Things
start going wrong shortly after the 'rebuilding all devices' phase, it can't
fetch the apache code and any other add ons. Although I select X-Developer
as the type of installation, it never gets installed.

I have sucessfully installed 2.0.5 on this machine and done a network 'minimum'
upgrade prior to having the CDROM. I thought I would do a 'proper' install but I
end up with less not more.

My CDROM (Goldstar 4x IDE) is not recognised by the ATAPI floppy, I have to do
a kernel reconfigure and delete the two drives defined under the second interface
for things to work. So even if I could install from a local CDROM I may have the same problem
as I now do FTPing from a machine a couple of feet away with a CDROM.

Any ideas?
