Hi All,

I just installed 2.0 (all patches) and am running a Conner QIC-3080 2/4 GIG
SCSI tape off the Bus-Logic 946c. I've RTMF'd dump/restore/mt and managed to
get it to work sort-of with dump and restore, but the mt rewind and rsf
commands don't work properly. Eventually the tape hangs with I/O device
already open errors and requires a reboot to start working again.

It seems that with this setup, I'm stuck only writing one file per tape since
I can't control the tape position.

Is anyone using this (or any similar) drive with any sucess? What's the best
way to backup/restore more than one filesystem on one of these tapes? In
general, if I get a stuck device (like a tape or confused cdrom) is there a
way to reset it without rebooting?

Thanks for your help,

Henry Stapp
