Well, then just buy a NCR/Symbios 53c810 based card.
(The cheap cards only offer passive termination, but 
both the ASUS SC-200 and NCR/SYM8100S come with active
terminator.)

Cheaper and faster and known to work with other cards
(whether PCI or not) on the same system. Performance
tests with 3 cards indicate near 25MB/s performance
through the file system (5 parallel Bonnie runs on
5 disk drives).

But, well, I'm biased :)
