Read the FAQ, section 7.

The 3c590 card is only supported in current by the `vx' driver.
However, you could pick a copy of the files /sys/pci/if_vx* from your
favorite mirror of FreeBSD-current, drop it into your system, edit
your /sys/conf/files to add this driver, and get it going even under
2.1R.  Simply say

	device vx0

in the config file.  Since it's PCI, the driver can figure out
everything itself.
