Before doing anything drastic, make yourself a FreeBSD install floppy and try
booting it - if you can get the 'sea' driver to probe your card, you are in
business.  Just booting the install floppy won't touch your hard disks (unless
you go on and answer all the install questions....).

If your card isn't at the addresses the default kernel is expecting, enter
"kernel -c" at the boot prompt and change the addresses in the configuration
utility.
