From the Handbook:-

"The SCSI BIOS itself presents to the system a so called translated
drive. This means that a fake drive table is constructed that allows
the PC to boot the drive.  This translation is often (but not always)
done using a pseudo drive with 32 heads and 64 sectors per track."

So it doesn't really make sense to talk about the "correct" geometry.
If you're in this situation, use a "fake" geometry with 32 heads, 64
sectors and the drive capacity in MB as the number of cylinders - 
presumably this would be 2048 in your case.
