Hi all,

First off, sorry for the long post, but I am hoping that by including
part of the message file that it will provide more clues.

OK, I have a 100 MHz Pentium w/ 2 disk drives, first one being
DOS/Windoze, and the second is FreeBSD 2.0.5. I can boot either
system, and from Windoze I can connect this machine (dopey) to a Linux
server (bashful) on my 2 computer network. However, when I reboot to
FreeBSD, this is not the case.

When I boot FreeBSD, it finds the card OK, but if I try to 'attach'
the card via config, I get nothing (sorry, no output). If I 'probe'
the card, it will page fault and I have to hit the reset button. Ie:

fatal trap 12:page fault while in kernel mode
fault vertual address =0x0
fault code =supervisor read, page not present

The only thing I can think of is that the card is a ISA card in a PCI
system. I have tried to clear out a 32K area starting at 0xD0000
under setup when the system boots, but this changes nothing.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,
gb
