	I run 2.0.5 and use Xfree86 3.1.2beta to drive a Trident 9440.
Following the directions in the handbook I converted one tty to:

ttyv3	"/usr/X11R6/bin/xdm -nodaemon"	xterm on secure

When I reboot, I come back to the text "login: ", after which I get
6-10 iterations of:

		/kernel: pid 142: X: uid 0: exited on signal 10

and can then log in in text mode.

I can run X correctly using "startx". Any ideas why I can't boot
with it?
(Is there a good reference on this for beginners?)
