I have a problem which I could surely use some help with:
I have a Pagesat HS Data Receiver feeding my PC a satellite news feed at
115200 bps in serial port 2. The data flows one way only using only 2 pins
on the RS232 connector - data in and ground. I tested the equipment under
dos, and the 16550 serial port handled the 115200 fine with no lost data.
After installing FreeBSD 2.1 and INN and getting this working, I installed
the satellite reception software and now get the following error message:
Jan 13 12:19:21 news /kernel: sio1 6316 more tty-level buffer overflows
reading the man page for sio shows that the data is coming in too fast, but I
know the hardware can handle it.
I configured the Pagesat program to use cuaa1 as the com port. Is this
correct?
What else can I look for to correct this?
Thanks!
Don.
