What you describe is what I intended.

The last AIX I used was an unreleased 4.3 version; I can only
point you at IBM.

If in fact this is not a feature of any released AIX, as with
the two other items that failed the "more modern than Solaris"
test, I can identify replacements if necessary.

The intent was to point out "modern" or "state of the art" OS
features that Solaris does not have.
