I installed FreeBSD (2.1) for the first time and I really like it.
There is still one problem with starting the X-server (XF86_S3).
The first time it worked flawlessly, but since then I get boring
messages like:

  TRANS(SocketCreateListener): failed to bind listener
  TRANS(SocketINETCreateListener): TRANS(SocketCreateListener) () failed
TRANS(MakeAllCOTSServerListeners) failed to create listener for tcp

  Fatal server error:
Failed to establish all listening sockets

This appears after about 15 seconds.
I am sure that I did a proper shutdown for both the X-server
and the system.
I decided to reinstall and then again it worked flawlessly
but after some time the same messages started to appear.

The stream-socket /tmp/.X11-unix/X0 is created every time
and I started the X-server with UID 0, so I don't think it
is a permission problem.

did anybody encounter this problem ?
help is really appreciated,

Ferdinand,
