Actually do the following:
1) Check your kernel for ENOUGH (256 +) ppp capabilities,
e.g. ppp-devices 256 or is it appp-devices 256+
remember to config and remake your kernel.
2) Check your /etc/ppp.sys, /etc/namedb/domain.db and addr-map.
You need entries there.
Kill named and restart.
