Ive installed 2.1 from teh Walnut Creek CDrom.
Rebuilt the kernel to remove a few superfluous devices and similarly the
X Server to remove a few unnecessary cards.

When I try to run either an xterm or a 9term I get an error
xterms I get error on TIOCSETP inappropriate IOCTL on device, then it quits
9term, complains of inappropriate ioctl on dewvice and tells me Job Control
is available (at least it continues :-)

Any pointers ?

TIA
- JonT

PS Xemacs, twm, pppd and other things work, just not my Xterminals.
