Hello,

I am aware that FreeBSD can act as an effective IP router, but can it
bridge (or better yet route) any other protocols ?

Basically, I need to know if FreeBSD can not only do port and IP routing,
but also bridge Netware traffic (both IPX and SPX).

At the moment we are using a FreeBSD box as an application firewall and
using a Karlbridge in parallel to provide IPX/SPX bridging. However,
after reading the latest news threads, it appears that FreeBSD can now
also bridge (route ?) IPX.

If so, where can I find some more information ?

eg. Do I need -current, or will 2.1.0 provide the support, Is the IPX
bridging built-in to the kernel or do I need some external application
running, etc...

Any help will certainly be appreciated.

regards
scott
