Well, my Portmaster arrived, but the manual is horrible, isn't it?

I am using the command-line interface and am trying to set the ports so
that users can get a dialup PPP connection. (That is "dialnet" for
"dialin" users, right?)

I *thought* I set things correctly, and the modems negotiate and
configPPP on my Mac gets a correct connect signal. But instead of a
prompt for user name and password (I set one user name) I just get
garbage.

Perhaps it is a port speed setting. I wasn't sure about that setting at
all.

Does anybody have any hints for me?

The manual...ugh! Who wrote that thing?!

If I set user names in the Portmaster itself, does RADIUS have to be
used? How many user names does it hold?

Thanks!
