Hi,

I'm having problems installing V2.1R using ftp. The system is a
laptop and uses a 3-COM 3C589C PCMCIA card - before I get flamed, I
know this is not strictly a supported card (as is the 3C589B) - but I
couldn't get a 3C589B !

When installing the diagnostics appear to give conflicting
information:

ze identifies the card as a 3C589, whilst zp probes give its ethernet
address !

It attempts to load from zp0 and fails - can't resolve IP host -
strange since other systems on the same physical network have no
problem (using the same gateway and resolver).

Has anyone else seen this and/or can give me hints/tips if it is
possible to use the 3C589C card ?

All help appreciated.

TIA

Stuart.
