I just tried bringing up a FreeBSD 2.1 install diskette on a Gateway 2000
P5-120 (120-MHz Pentium) that has, among other devices, a Sanyo 3-Disk 4x IDE
CD-ROM drive (model number unknown; Gateway markets it as its own).

I gather FreeBSD 2.1 doesn't support it, because it doesn't report seeing any
CD-ROM drives when it starts up. Is support for this drive type ever likely?
This isn't a showstopper for us, just curious.
