I've begun to notice something strange with respect to tip. Depending on
what sites or BBSes I call, the terminal will get screwed up (/dev/console)
until I reboot the system. Sometimes it might be a continual blinking, others
it will be vi not displaying messages - or the messages it does display in
blue blinking mode, instead of the normal bright yellow, or other times it'll
affect things like manual page displays or emacs.

It seems to be something on the other end (depends on what strings the
BBS program sends) that causes the problem.

Apart from not calling :) isn't there a simple way to 'reset' dev/console so
it's back to normal, without rebooting?
