Hi all,

I'm not convinced that this is the right area, but here goes...

I am considering the wisdom of running linux, but I know nothing about
it. So I am looking for some pointers/info.

What do I need to run it??
Where can I get this from??
Is an old 386DX sufficient to run it on??
If I put loads of com ports into the machine with it on can I connect
  dumb terminals to it??
If I get a flavour of linux for a 680x0 machine and one for the 80x86
machi can they be setup to talk/see each other??

I appologise If this is the wrong area for this kinda stuff.

Can anyone who replies please e-mail me as I don't subscribe to this
group (yet).

Thanks in advance

Ste
