Sorry to bust your chops ;-).  Actually it is totally orthoginal, not a
special case for the root floppy.  I mean if you are installing from
floppies, then floppies are your installation medium, and behold that's
where your "root" is comming from.  :-)))

See, isn't the FreeBSD install logical and great?  I think so, gets easier
and better with each version
