All unix boxes equipped with a modem port has this!

All that is needed is a script that opens that port,
waiting for carrier to be 'true'

When the open succeeds, the script continues the shutdown procedure.

The UPS, of cource will drive carrier to 'false' until
power drops.

And, a 'real script' will do some sanity checkin also.

Do people PAY for this kind of software to other arhitectures ????
