Summary: Looking for information on multiport serial boards under Linux/x86 & FreeBSD

I'm looking for comments, experiences as well as dealer details (ie. where to
get them) for multi-port serial boards to run under either or both FreeBSD
and Linux/x86. The boards we require to handle at least 8, 16 or 32 ports
and have working and supported (not necessarily by the manufacturer)
serial drivers for these operating systems. Support and supply within
Australia would be ideal, but not essential (we will certainly consider
an agency or dealership arrangement if the cards are well recommended
and work well on these platforms). There are quite a few installations
involved.

Information on terminal server devices would also be appreciated, but since
there may be a significant concern for cost, they may not be entirely suited
to the situation.

Please email responses. I will post a concise summary if anyone expresses
a similar interest in the information.
