I agree with you. Coming from running Red Hat Linux, the installation
of FreeBSD is by far a better scheme than Red Hat Linux (which I consider
to be the *best* Linux installation out there).

Well, there is this matter of FreeBSD being a *real* UNIX where Linux is
not.

Hm...I disagree. There are some products that I can only find for FreeBSD
(Netscape Commerce Server) and many products are unavailable for Linux simply
due to rather kernel stabilities.
