Hey  wait.  NeXTStep is a  Mach-based Unix with  "normal"  4.2BSD UFS.  The
problem is  that UFS is  endian-dependent so  you cannot  share filesystems
between a Black Box and a NeXTStep/PC.

I don't think NeXT is using something else than UFS...
