I installed FreeBSD 2.1 right off the net. When you boot from the
floppy, at the 'boot:' prompt, type '/kernel -c', and then you can
specify your devices and give their hex addresses and irq's. Once you
get into the setup program, it will ask you how you want to install, ftp
is an option, just specify it. It defaults to freebsd.cdrom.com, with
the appropriate directories and locations. you can change it if you need
to. Good luck.
