Umm...I've NEVER seen it as e2...I've always see it as ext2.  I don't
see what the problem is.=) I've also been runing Linux for over  a year
or so.=)
I how ever came in after the ext and ext2 thing.=)

What catastrophy??  Your flame seems to have no base.=) I  have Linux
runing netatalk/samba for Mac/Win95 server...Unless I want to add new
hardware to try and play around to tweek samba preformance (normally
does not occur.=) my system runs ignored for DAYS on end!!   Mind you
I'm not in everyday....Some times I don't even go to work for 2 weeks
and it's never had  a problem (note:Part-time admin..and the programmer(s)
never touch my machine.=)

I've  played on other UNIX systems.. non-BSD style...They are all
DIFFERENT  when it comes to file systems.=)  Look at SysV.
