I currently have a 486 DX2 66 running FreeBDS 2.0.5 and I have just installed a
second hard disk on my system.

My question is - is there any documentation outlining the exact steps I would
need to take to first of all format and partition the disk, and secondly mount
the disk.

I have looked at the fdisk program, and after going through all the partition
settings, it told me that writing a new partition was not possible.. probably
because it was not formatted.

I have also looked at both the mount and disklabel programs, and I am unsure
what I should use, and in what order. I have a large WWW site on my other disk,
and don't want to accidentally destroy it.

Thanks for responses in advance,

Drew
