Subject: FDDI on FreeBSD -- How well does it work?

I need to set up a machine as an IP router between FDDI and Ethernet.
I know nothing about FDDI except that a couple of DEC FDDI cards
appear to be supported by FreeBSD. I plan to use a 3C509B for the
Ethernet card on a 486/66 or 486/100 system.

How well debugged are the FDDI drivers? Anybody using them in production?
Any other advice?
